Cream cheese and pepper jelly is probably one of my favorite dips to serve as an appetizer because it’s so light and incredibly easy to prepare. Not only is it inexpensive, it doesn’t require any cooking!

I’ll admit, there are plenty of times where I am the person who signs up to bring “paper goods” to the party because I want to contribute without doing much. Now, I gladly volunteer to bring this appetizer. It looks impressive and is always a huge hit.

This dish is usually a staple at holiday gatherings, but is quickly becoming a new favorite at cookouts as well. Plus, if you’ve gotten on the charcuterie board bandwagon, this is a perfect add-on. It pairs really well with a variety of meats and crackers.

You might be worried about the heat level in pepper jelly if you aren’t a fan of spicy food. Don’t worry, this jelly is definitely on the milder side. It does have a hint of heat, but it is balanced out with the sweetness in the jelly and the smoothness of the cream cheese.

How To Prepare Cream Cheese And Pepper Jelly

First, take a wrapped block of cream cheese and allow it to come to room temperature for about 1 hour before unwrapping and serving it. Cream cheese can also be placed in the microwave for a few seconds to be softened. If using the microwave method, make sure the wrapper is off of your cream cheese before placing it in the microwave. I wouldn’t suggest serving the cream cheese straight from the refrigerator, it will be too hard to dip into.

Then, take the jar of pepper jelly and stir it around in the jar or a separate bowl until it becomes smooth. Finally, pour the jelly over top of the cream cheese ensuring the top and sides are completely covered. Serve and enjoy!
